Default What is Your Favorite Green House/Nursery?

Just curious what everyone's favorite green house/nursery within the Anchorage/Eagle river/MatSu area is for tree and shrub shopping, when it comes to knowledge, quality, and variety...

I don't think there's much of a question, it's Mile 5.2 Greenhouse in Eagle River. If you specifically are looking for fruit trees, some of the specialists may be as good or better, but Mile 5.2 is an awesome greenhouse.

I do need to give a shout-out to Sutton Greenhouse on Tudor just because they are knowledgeable ladies who are good people with good plants. But they don't have the trees and shrubs that Mile 5.2 has. I've been to a number of other greenhouses around Anchorage, and those are the cream of the crop IMO.

My new favorite is Northern Fruits Nursery up Clark Wolverine Road in Palmer (off the old Glenn Hwy). The owners love to show you around, so don't plan on a quick trip, but their knowledge and willingness to share it is greatly appreciated. I'm interested in fruit trees and berry bushes -- and that's the place to learn about them!
