    Default Oysters?

Does anybody know if the Perry Island Oyster farm is up and running this year and what the prices are? Headed out there way tomorrow and can probably bring them a few supplies if they need any.

Know that Troy and Melissa don't take care of the place anymore. Heard the new owner didn't want to sell to the public but I also heard that they didn't have many oysters last summer. Swing by and say hello and let us all know as swinging by there to get oysters was awesome.

Well up a little late and finished packing the boat for tomorrow. I'll head over there if the rest of yawl promise to leave my pots alone while they are out of my sight to check up on the oysters.

Just funny reading all the threads of stolen shrimp.

    Default Oysters?

Good luck out there. No idea who's running the farm now. The guy that took over after Troy and Melissa quit last August. Said he was tired of being screwed over by the owner. We sure hope someone take over and gets that place up and running again. We need Troy and Melissa back again.
If you make the run out there please let us know if it's open again.

Yep. The spat are spread and raised in the creek just behind the barge they have. Big currents in the creek are what is needed to make them grow. Then they go to the nets and become big delicious grill food while we anchor up in beautiful PWS.

There is an oyster farm in the cove that you can go to and buy oysters.
Iv'e met the owners of one once and they seemed very nice.
I don't eat oysters though so have never personally bought from them
heres a video on the oyster farming there.

That's a good question that I always wondered about. If anyone knows please let us know. I would hop over and pick up some if they allow it.
