    Default Euerka Trails

Anyone ride Euerka yet this year. Curious how much snow was still up there. TIA.

The Tahneta Pass (AT&T Towers just south/west of the Eureka Lodge) weather camera still shows snow at the road elevation, so I think the trails would still be covered in snow and ice. Last year I rode up there on May 23 and found all the creeks near the highway frozen in the morning and the back valleys were frozen in with many feet of ice yet. Getting to common places like Monument were doable.

So I tired eureka today. Trails not too bad. Lots of mud and water from the snow melts. There are some areas where the snow is still pretty deep.

Thanks for the update. It is still a little early for this area.
