My partner and I have drawn tags for Moose and we are planning to float the Hogatza this Sept. Avid DIY Bowhunters and on a budget, we have done numerous float trips but this will be our first trip into this drainage. Have already touched base with the local biologist and it looks like we will be flying out from Galena or Bettles. I do have a couple of names of the transporters that handle that area. I am a little apprehensive of depending on the transporter to choose our drop point when he may service that area with his own guided or outfitted hunt groups that are paying more money than DIY drop hunters. Anybody have any tips as to how far up we should start? Any other help will be muchly appreciated.
