Do I give my friends advice? Jesus, no. They wouldn't take advice from me. Nobody should take advice from me. I haven't got a clue about anything..

Diamond plate is plate, so you'll have to find somebody with a shear (or saw) and a brake.

A shear would be better than a saw. Have you dimensions figured out before and you will save time.

H&K and Ingersoll here in Anchorage can shear and brake it. Call in advance to ask about what thickness they can work with. Ingersoll does quite a bit of work for us on angle.

I used 1 1/2 x 6 x 1/4" angle for the streaks. Gary at Greatland happened to have a couple sticks at that time. Was so easy to do I had to stand back and say "is that all?". Not sure you need 1/4" stock. I wanted it to strengthen the chine when we lengthened the boat as well as have a reverse chine. One of the easiest and best mods I've made. I think you could shear and bend thinner stock in no time and it only takes a few minutes to shear angles at the front then tack weld it at the front and have some one pick it up from the rear and hold it in place as it is tacked on working to the rear. Boat stays on the trailer. I could send a couple pic to you if your interested.

Greatland has a shear and breaks that can handle this easily and also has aluminum.
