    Question 9.9 Outboard kicker question

So I am looking to get a kicker and had a few questions.

I recently purchased a 20 ft Alumaweld with a 115/80 jet on it that is getting the powerhead rebuilt right now. Would like a trolling/backup motor. With the steering wheel towards the front, do you just have to sit at the back and control with tiller for trolling I assume? What are my options? Forgive me for being ignorant, first boat i've owned and learning as I go.

    Thanks,
    Chris

You can rig up a tie bar and control both motors from one steering wheel if you want. Some people prefer tiller control for trolling though so that you're close to the rods if one hits.

I have an I/O with a 9.9 kicker and use an EzSteer connector and use my steering wheel.
I also installed a separate throttle control at my helm.
