Default Need a few .454 and or .455 cal cast slugs for experiments

I want to try some .454 or .455 caliber cast slugs in my 45 Colts before buying a big lot of them. ( trying to get a 45 Colt model 73 to shoot worth a darn. Plus two 45 Colt sixguns.

I have all sorts of other slugs and jackets bullets for trading stock ( numerous calibers) or I can play cash.
I do not need a lot of them,,,,, yet....

Between 10 and 15 just so I can see if the larger diameter will work before I buy a new mold or buy a bunch of pre-made bullets.

I also annealed the case mouths on 40 pieces of brass to see it the softer mouths will open up and seal a little better

The .454 slugs I have are beartooth 340gr LFNGCs I don't know if that is too long for your 73. I can send ya some if ya want to try them. PM me as it is easier for me to see the new message from phone.

I can sample you some 347 grain SWCGC if you're interested. They might be a bit heavy/long for your application; crimp to nose is 0.400. Air cooled Lyman #2.

I live near homer and will be home May 3rd. I have an assortment of bullets. Hornady, cast, and I believe a few others you can try. Not for sale but I will share a few with you.

It can work if you're somewhat consistent, but best to pass bullets through a sizer after squishing. A bud needed .379 bullets but had only .375. He did the vise squish and it worked but was way to inconsistent. I had a .379 collet for my Lubrisizer and passed them through for him. Nirvana. Kind of in your boat, he then ordered a .380 mold.... And borrowed my Lubrisizer!
