    Default Hidden Lake solo overnighter.

I tried to get into Spruce Lake in the Kenai Canoe Wilderness area yesterday, but some of the lakes were still froze, so I went with my backup plan.

Canoe and camp on one of the Islands on Hidden Lake before the tourists get heavy.
I went in last evening with a following 10 MPH wind and came out today. I had never been there. Wow was that incredible.

No, I did not do any fishing. I have not been a resident long enough here for an in-state license, and I haven't bought an non-resident license yet.

I will buy a license soon, but I will also need to invest in a pole and tackle.

I cut my teeth in northern MN in the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area, where I grew up, I did many solo's there, of over a week long. However since I have been canoeing here in AK all I can say to myself as I am soloing is "Wow, Wow. What a view. Holy Wow."
