Thread: Whittier boat parking

    Default Whittier boat parking

I just heard the lot is open and rates were raised from last year. Currently the website states $700 for the 6 month season. I have been trying to call Gwen at Whittier boat parking for a week and no response yet.
Does anyone know what the rate is this year and if the lot is actually open.

I talked to Gwen last week and the lot is not technically open till May 1 she is in the process of contacting those that already have contracts with her and once that is settled she will know where other people can go who want permanent spaces I did not discuss with her the price for this year

Glenn said even though the lot is free of snow now if it snows there is no plowing apparently the city of Whittier does not plow that lot so May 1 is when it's officially open because of snow removal issues

Thanks for the response. I suppose I'll keep trying to contact Gwen.

I briefly exchanged notes with Gwyn at the end of last week. She didn't have confirmation from the owners yet on the 2016 rates but is going to let me know once she does. 1S1K is correct that May 1st is the official opener but she is hoping to open the lot early this year as long as it doesn't snow again. I wasn't looking for much info from her, was just letting her know I was planning on being there and requested my normal spot. Gwyn takes good care of us!

They were open this weekend. $45 for three days. No snow, but potholes still there.

You paid $45? I paid $35 Friday afternoon until Sunday. I sure hope they didn't go up to $45 for 3 days.

I parked in front of Lazy Otter this weekend with my trailer.. Got a warning ticket that there was no trailer parking in that area any longer..
