Default Goodnews - mainstem or middle fork?

I have a trip booked for this August and the option is still open for me to choose. I can't find much info on the middle fork and was hoping to get some info here.
Are both rivers about the same size?
Is the middle fork wadable for its length?
Are there any portages or heavy rapids?
I figure the fishing is about the same on either so not too worried about that.

Thanks for any and all help, PM's are welcome.

Middle fork is gonna be loooooow this year.

Of our 4 floats last year, all where mainstem, due to low water. Even mainstem required some dragging on the upper end.

How much difference in the size of them? Would we be dragging for miles or just here and there?
