    Default fishing bait anchorage

Where is the best place in anchorage to buy ocean fishing bait ?
who has or sells the most fishing bait in town ?
I know their are many places in town to buy bait but some places the quality of bait looks pretty poor from sitting in the freezer for a long time.
    thanks

Herring in Anchorage took a beating due to the Homer derby last month. I bought bait all winter to troll. I get the same stuff at B&J, Sportsman, and Cabelas. I never have to buy bottom bait

Its was way less expensive at b&j than Cabelas, both places appeared to have decent bait before the derby.

What about a 50 pound box instead of the little bags? Quality 50 pound - not mushy stinky junk.....?

Try Alaska Bait Company. 150 A St Loop, Anchorage, AK 99518. I have always gotten great quality bait from them.
Spending my kids' inheritance with them, one adventure at a time.
