    Default Ice is on its way out first open water wild rainbow on April 5th.

    12932642_1187511084600574_1738232995962225236_n.jpg Try flesh and bleached out egg patterns as the ice breaks up it dumps all kinds of little goodies into the water. I spent about an hour and a half on the water got 2 takes and landed this nice bow.

    I doubt it since he was using flesh and beads. Although, I have used them in lakes with success.

    Fire Lake has a small open space along one edge as of yesterday, but then today I saw a hang glider land and walk across the lake.

    The north half of Jewel Lake was completely open today. A small patch around the pier at the south end is open as well.

    All of the ice is gone from the Fairbanks area.
