Default Annual Knik River Kick Off Spring Ride 4/9/16

Bring your boat and lets BBQ at the glacier on April 9th. We launch from the old knik bridge with airboats at 10AM. Everyone is welcome and the goal is to meet at the glacier around noon to Bbq and BS with friends.
Bring whatever you have to fly, float, or ride to join in the fun.

Just bought an Alaska Series Inflatable this winter and I was looking to test my jet this weekend. Any idea if there will be enough water? Live in Anchorage so I haven't been that way to scout it out.

Well, I think 12 boats showed up Saturday for the run. Unfortunately the winds showed up too. Was way to dusty to even see the Glaicer so we decided to try and run down river. Was still a handful to handle the boats. But still got out on the water and made sure the boat is ready for summer.

Made lemonade out of lemons considering the sandstorm going on yesterday.
Thanks to many new faces, was fun to meet new people and see friends again.
Didnt go as anticipated but we found a calm stretch and managed to grill and kick off summer.

sorry it didn't go as planned. are you going to try again in a calmer day, 12 boats was a great turnout, is there still a lot of ice in the upper river or is it all cleared out by now. Bud

No ice, has been open for at least a month.

We rode so no reason to do it again, went south instead of north.
Next year we'll do it again!
