Anyone have any experience with these? I know they make many variations also. But I heard these are the original design and also the best for the money. I'm thinking it will work out good for cutting out my window openings and could also be useful in making some window and door trim pieces later on.

I made one similar when I built my log house and it worked OK. I found it was best to use a skip chain when ripping. I used it to cut some of my window/door openings but it took a while to set up the guide board and I eventually ended up just marking the logs and cutting freehand. I don't think you could tell which ones I cut with either method.
