Default Homer King Derby Check In

Headded down to Homer in the AM assuming the winter storm warning does not cause problems. Though it would be nice to have a post where members could check in once they are in Homer and keep track of what is happening. Our boat should be in the harbor tomorrow night or Thursday Am and we should be out fishing Thursday thru the derby. Should be sleeping on the boat Friday night so we can get an early start. Post up a slip number once we get one. Come say hi if you have time. Boat is a white and blue Kingfisher, Stor Fisk is the name.

I've decided not to pull the boat down due to the weather and road conditions. Not favorable over the next couple days

If you do decide to pull your boat down cover your windows... Lots of loose sand

I towed Tunnel Vision down in October, of course, I was having work done so it was convenient. TV will be in the water Thursday morning, headed out to run her around and get the motors placed correctly height wise after the extended bottom, then planning on fishing Friday morning/afternoon and then the derby on Saturday. Not sure what slip I'll be in.

Seas look good for the weekend however the road conditions sound terrible for trip back. Keep a close eye on it and safe travels

This is a good sight with cameras along the Seward highway you can check out for road conditions.

Roads are good. Little black ice Thur the pass. I should have towed the boat!

not hot and crazy but ended up with 3 today - one yesterday with a few lost boatside due to 'King Kandy' hooks line breaking. All retied now.

Rumor has it there are already 900 anglers signed up. My buddy drove from Homer to Anchorage today, got to Anchorage about one in the afternoon and had seen 79 boats on trailers.
