Default How much would it cost to fly a wheeled Cessna 207 ANC - Big River

How much would it cost to fly a wheeled Cessna 207 from Anchorage to Big River, 160 miles NW of Anchorage. Would be a drop off landing and fully loaded with 1200lbs. Landing on a large gravel bar. I have a quote I received that would cost $1375, would you say that is accurate? Just wanting to check with you guys since you know your stuff.

Basically $450/hr? Probably about what they charge to go off-road with a loaded 207.

They may want to scout that gravel bar, if it is unknown to them. And someone needs to pay for that. So you "Might" want to see who goes in there regularly.

Sounds about right. It is a round trip 320-350 miles for the pilot and the plane. Plus loading and unloading time.

Rob Jones owns the biggest lodge out there and is in and out with his 206 more than anyone. He is my first call when I need something hauled into that country.

1200 lbs is pretty much a full load, so not sure how you could easily split costs though.

Ok I will look him up, this is great information. I plan on making about 3 trips out there this summer so maybe split loads up, my first trip will be the biggest load.

Rob isn't cheap, but I've always gotten more than my money's worth. If you are doing anything in the Big River country, he's the guy to know. Good luck.
