    Default kodiak trout

What are the best rivers and lakes for trout fishing on kodiak? I am 16 years old and am moving there from POW in January and am looking to try flyfishing. I have done a bit on POW for dollies and some cutthroat but not much. Also I was wondering are there any grayling on kodiak?

    thanks for the help

    Hunter,
I had noticed all your post about Kodiak and thought you must be coming here.
    Here is a quick rundown,
Most of the lakes here are stocked with rainbows
The rivers have lots of dollies in late summer and fall
The rivers get runs of all five species of salmon (not all rivers get all five but you can find all five amongst them)
I have heard rumors of grayling in Ambercrombie lake but have not seen them for myself.
There are lots of ATV trails here and most will provide some deer hunting.
If you like to hunt and fish Kodiak will be a great place for you. It is much different than POW. I don't think our deer are as thick and we don't have black bears but it is still good. You will see a lot more people here but there is still room for everyone to find their own peace of paradise.

Get to know the buskin river
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.
