No snow to speak of at all, even up around 800' there was very little on our end of island. Saw lots of deer the other day too up around feeding.

Saw the pics of FB Jeff, nice work man.

With the draws coming out and all these hunting pics I'm getting antsy! Congrats to the hunters!
I think about hunting when I wake up in the morning. I think about it all day. And I think about it at night. The only time I don't think about it is when I'm doing it. ~credit to Carl Yastrzemski~

    Default another nanny

With this "Kodiak weather" 3 hunters were able actually get out to the Mtn goats and then punch a RG480 tag. Low pressure after low pressure coming up from the Pacific bringing high winds and monsoon like rain. Just fliyng to Kodiak Island has been a challenge, let alone accending to goat country. So far just nannies have been harvested, but billies were spotted, my advice to hunters is " you made here, a Mtn goat is in range take it!" Because tomorrow we might not even make it out of the harbor plus you have another tag.

Jeff runs a great operation. I was down there this week and took a goat. The house is very clean and has all the amenities you need. The house is great when it's raining, blowing 50mph to be warm and dry. I plan to make another trip to take one with a bow.

When I spotted Jim coming down the mountain, I thought he was dragging a deer down.

We had a great time going out with Jeff last week. He is a lot of fun and you will see lots of goats! Definitely worth the trip to hold you over till spring.
