Default Ranger won't start when its cold out

Have a 2011 Polaris ranger that won't start when it 25 degrees outside, runs great in spring summer & fall but hates winter, turns over but does not fire, anything I can do, would like to use it for ice fishing but can't

How old are the batteries. That's what I'd check first.

    Is that model carbeurated?

Similar issue on a 09 foreman which had a carb. An engine block heater took care of this issue.

Since upgrading to a fuel injected 14 foreman I've had zero starting issues down below 0 degrees.

I don't think it will be carbed, my old 07 had efi. As for not starting mine always started decent in the cold but once it gave me some trouble turns out the fuel pump was frozen somehow with some water that separated in the fuel.

Probably battery. They like a quick spin to start, and even if it sounds like it's turning over good, it might not be good enough. Try hooking up a car battery via battery cables to it, and see if it starts up. (note, make sure if you are jumping off a regular vehicle, make sure it's not running when you try to start).

    Good luck!

Well one less cumbersome ATV to tear up the winter trails! That's a start!

Have you put HEET in the gas? Is the gas full or low? If it is low condensation will build and freeze. When is the last time you changed the plugs?

Good for you! Hopefully it wasn't a Polaris!

Check all your connections esp. ones that are lo on the frame. My solenoid connections were extremely dirty and caused me issues. Cleaned tightened and used boat style electrical grease. Forgot proper name!
