During the ban years, in 2001 I bought a new Romanian AK-47 (WASR-10) it only holds single stack mags that are 10 rounds, like all imports until the ban was lifted a few years back. Now, it is legal to dremel cut or machine metal from the thinner opening on the bottom of the receiver so that a wider (double stack) normal AK-47 magazine will fit. I called a local gun shop with gunsmiths and the guy argued with me that there was no such thing and all receivers were exactly the same and only magazines were different and it didn't apply in Alaska. Yea, whatever.

Has anyone done this modification? Got a template?
