    Default Winter Fishing Fix

Hello all! With this warm weather I've been getting an itch to do some fishing. Can anybody point me in the right direction to do a little bit of winter fly fishing? I'm assuming the Kenai is my best bet? Unfortunately I do not have a boat. I have recently relocated to the Valley and I'm willing to drive either north or south to do some fishing. Thanks everyone.

you are correct on the Kenai river you don't have have a boat , walk to the river , an fish , the section of river just below the 2 lakes has some of the best , bar none , or walk in from the road Sportman's Landing down to the other landing SID

sculpin imitations work, small bead heads work, and beads and flesh. Try a variety and move around.

Sid, I know your reply was not directed to me, but the phrase "just below the 2 lakes " has me confused... What 2 lakes?

I suspect he means below 'Kenai' and also 'Skilak' lakes. Near the outlets of lakes are often good holding spots for river fish in lower water/winter periods, right?
Your sarcasm is way, waaaayyyyyyyy more sarcastic than mine!
