    Default Washington shiras moose

    Merry Christmas.

I know. This is not an Alaska Yukon giant, but I wanted to share this pic with you guys.
Drew my once in a lifetime moose tag for NE Washington. Hunted 12 days, passed up about 10 smaller bulls and shot this guy
on the last day. Great hunt with an epic finish. Not officially scored but has a 46" spread. I wanted a decent mature bull and I and happy with him.

    Cheers,

    Bryan

Which tag did you draw? I see moose every year in Aladdin on my whitetail hunts, and a couple were real nice ones. I keep hoping I'll get drawn, even for a cow tag. This year I hunted Huckleberry and only saw one cow.

No. I hunted a few years ago on a float huntin the Brooks. Love Alaska hunting but can't do it often.

Douglas late. Great area for moose. They didn't get the snow like a normal nov. I was hoping for good tracking snow on a big bull but it all worked out👍

Tell Me about it. We were hoping for snow for late buck in Nov., but just got a trace one night. Last year in late buck I was sitting in a tree stand in 10 below and a foot of snow. This year it was mid 40s and rain. As you said, it all worked out in the end. Glad your hunt had a happy ending!
