Never fished there but you could probably use a tube jig in 40 feet of water when the sun is up and probably have a decent chance

I've never fished there but I have it on good authority that if you don't have electronics you're going to be in for a tough time. The fish vary in the water column. White tube jigs are a popular choice.

On the ice right now. Been here since 930. Only two nibbles. No real bites. 15' jigs with white rubber and a real worm. What am I doing wrong. If I'm stupid tell me that too.

Dang. What depth is a good place to start at? I'm here with a long time North Dakota ice man. And me.... a greenhorn. So we are winging it.

A good flasher is almost mandatory. You should be fishing in 100+ FOW, and watch the flasher to get an idea of where in the watercolumn you should be focused on. Large white tube jigs are hard to beat!!!!!
