    A friend sent me this fish photo, caught out of Seward, whazzat??

    That is a juvenile ragfish, Icosteus aenigmaticus. Not to be confused with a prowfish.

    huh...we thought of ragfish, but those have no bones and this fish in the photo appears to have bones in its fins? Sure a pretty thing to be basically inedible, I understand they mostly eat jellyfish and like an ocean sunfish, aren't edible?
