    Default Marine grade plywood?

    Looking for a source of marine grade 1/16 inch plywood to fabricate reinforcement plates for aileron spars.

    Spenards building supply used to special order it for me.
    Not sure if they still do but it's worth checking

    1/16 may be hard to find locally in stock. Call Hardwood Specialties in Anchorage and see what they can order. They can get okoume and fir with no additional shipping if you wait for their monthly flat delivery.

    I just built a new spar for a tcart this summer. found some I want to say 6 ply at the model store across the road from REI in anchorage. one sheet gave me enough to do both spars. with plenty extra. I'd give you the extra, but I have seem to have lost track of it. I want to say $15-20 for it. I dont think you will find anything marine treated that small. Just make sure to use a good quality spar urethane.

    But I'm probably wrong, now looking, it was likely 3 ply.

    I am going to order from Aircraft Spruce. domestic birch with waterproof glue.

    Interesting that they would carry plywood, given the name of the business. You just never know.

    I already have an order coming from Spruce but I will call Image to see exactly what they have. Thanks.
