    Default kenai water

Just spent a "slow" weekend fishing on he Kenai for Kings- from Swiftwater to Porters. What is it looking like out their today- would appreciate some water condition updates- has that Kieley (spelling?) river mud worked its way out of the system? Anybody having luck down low?

I second that. Kenai fishing was ridiculously slow on Tuesday. We fished with Jeff King, and 4 of us managed one good bite, and one fish. The fish count from midnight til noon on Tuesday was 9 fish. Not kidding here, the guys from fish & game said 9 freaking kings came in.

On a side note, Jeff was a lot of fun even if the kings weren't hitting. The fish are either there or not, and he couldn't do much about it..... but we still had a good time. He's just a great guy.

didn't fish yesterday (wed) but did today (thurs) with 4 fishermen.... from the reports i heard yesterday, today seemed to be a little better. we boated 2 kings in the 20-25 pound range and about 3/4 of the boats out there landed a fish, although they were mostly magnum jacks (8-12 pounders). also caught a few dollies and missed a couple bites. hopefully it's a sign of things getting better.

fishing isn't about life or death... it's more important than that.

Jeff's a great guy and an even better guide! If he can't put you on fish, no one can.
