    Default Anyone hear about a Beaver that fell through some ice???

    Heard something happened up by Talkeetna. Any word ?? Everyone OK??

    I no longer live in Alaska, but at this time of the year, the ice around Talkeetna historically had a thick ice cover that SHOULD HAVE accommodated a Beaver . . . . . Or a DC-3.

    Saw a report on supercub.org, appeared the two on board were fine. Was a pretty warm fall except for that last cold snap.

    I know who it was. They are fine. Before the eight inches of snow we got two weeks ago there was very little ice. That snow slowed ice growth substantially.

    i haven't heard yet. It's going to be quite the process. Access to the site by snowmobile would be nearly impossible right now. It's going to be a helicopter job for sure.
