Default HEARING PROTECTION ACT, remove suppressors from the NFA

Okay boys, Representative Matt Salmon (R-AZ) has put in a bill to pull suppressors from the NFA. Now we need to get it known about, supported, and passed so start the politician pestering campaign now!

I hope this gains traction. I'd like to join the ranks of suppressor shooters.

Interesting. I hope this gets a following...pretty weird when my friend in Britain thinks I'm a barbarian for not having a "moderator" on my hunting rifle. Pretty standard equipment in most of Europe.

Maybe we can get a waste your ammo bill going and also remove full auto. Also let us put rifle stocks on handguns so its harder for us to hide them.I think short barreled shotguns would help also due to fewer rounds less accurate.
Now left only to be a turd in the forrest and the circle will be complete.Use me as I have used you

I've always considered the difficulties in obtaining a suppressor among the most foolish of laws. I'd love to see something like this gain traction.

I would love to see this pass also. I have permanent hearing damage from shooting in my younger (dummer) days without hearing protection. It would be nice to have a suppressor for my granddaughter to start out shooting with.

    I like it!
I never understood why suppressors were illegal to begin with.
Lots of quiet ways to commit a crime if one desired.
Lets get some traction on this one.

actually, supressors are not illegal. It's the hoops you need to jump through and a $200 unrefundable tax you need to pay to get permission from the king to get one that keeps most people away from them.

    Yes you are correct.
What I meant was illegal without the tax stamp and paperwork.
Basically I think you should be allowed to own/use a suppressor without jumping through any hoops or paying any extra fees/taxes.

Tonight an entire episode of Gun Stories sponsored by Midway dealt with silencers, their history, development, and as a safety item.

Here is a link to repeal the NFA and that would end all the ridiculous laws we have to contend with while the criminals do as they please

I want a suppressor for my .22"s, all of them, and my AR too! Also, the .308 bolt gun I will have to buy that is "suppressor ready".

I want a 14" barreled 870 like I had at work too, and a shoulder stock for a 10mm Glock with a 12" barrel and a RED Dot.

I want to be able to carry a pistol any where in America!

Especially Chicago, Baltimore, etc and our national parks.
