Thread: Campbell Lake / Lake Hood seaplane parking options

Default Campbell Lake / Lake Hood seaplane parking options

I'm looking to base a seaplane in Anchorage.
My impression is that Lake Hood has a decade long waiting list and for Campbell Lake you need to be a lakeshore property owner. Are dock spaces ever for rent on Campbell Lake? How much are they going for and how would one connect with a dock owner?

Any other options I'm not thinking of?

    Sand Lake? Jewel lake?

How does one start the Anchorage seaplane life without an amphibian?

Thanks for the suggestions / tips.

Transient slips at Lake Hood. Move to the Valley.

There are a few docks on Lake Lucille (Wasilla) that don't have airplanes. You might check on that as a possibility.

I get put in and pulled out each time. 30 to 40.00 each time. Might think of getting a trailer.

Fire Lake in Eagle River usually has a few slips available.

I might know of some options on Sand Lake and Campbell Lake. Message me for info.
