Default How to check A/C type by STATE ???

Does anyone know the link or web site that will let me check how many C-206s are registered in Alaska, verses how many in the lower 48 ???

I don't know of a site that has already done all the work for you... You're probably already aware(?) that you can download the FAA registry database and sort it using something like Access or Excel. It would be a little bit of work, but doable.

I went through what they have, but the numbers do not seem to be very believable. Only 320 C-206s registered in all of Alaska????? And only 2491 total C-206s listed as registered with the FAA.

Maybe that sort wasn't all inclusive. The master data file is 47M and my connection it WAAAAAAAY too slow to even consider downloading it, but with a good connection you could, and then sort by state and type.

I just always "Google" "N number search". This is the page that comes up; http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinqu...m_Inquiry.aspx
From that page, you can search "Make/Model". that brings you to this page; http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinqu...f_inquiry.aspx
When I pull up Cessna and 206, I see different numbers than what you indicated. I'll go back and look again.

Maybe my limited down-load speed of only 35K is holding me up. ( thanks ACS)
I added up all the sub-series listed for Alaska and came up with around 320-350 Cessna 206s. And I added all the groups and came up with around 2,491 C-206s registered in the USA. But almost 6,600 C-206s were made....
You actually get a few more if you just use 206 and don't add the Cessna part. Not counting Bell 206s of course.
