    Default Source for .22 crimps?

I have an Alpha .22 starter pistol that I'm having a difficult time finding acorn blanks/short crimps for locally-- and cannot have them shipped here. Can anyone recommend a source around Anchorage?

I've read on some other gundog forums that one can use .22 ramset/nail gun blanks available at hardware stores, which come in a variety of different "loads". I've never tried this myself and I just wanted to check if anyone here has any experience doing this?

I use nail gun blanks in my dummy thrower. I have #2s that aren't powerful enough to launch dummy beyond 5 feet that I would be willing to part with.

Thanks for the feedback. The cheap ramset blanks from Home Depot ended up working really well.
