    Default Anchorage Gun Dealers

I will be in Anchorage next week for a while and want to look for a couple guns while i'm there. Where would you suggest I go to find A good deal?

Depends on what you want. Anchorage has something like 15+ gun shops (including the big box stores). Some have deals on one thing, some on another.
I may be slow, but I get where I'm going!

I kind of like Gunrunnners across from Sears. Lots of older, odd ammo the box stores do not have. You just have to look past the unremittent foul language by the older guy behind the counter.

Cabelas and Great Northern Guns. Sportsman's doesn't carry many revolvers, but plenty of shotguns. Never been to Bass Pro Shops.

Pawn shops. Unless you like getting bent over. Or try Alaska List.

Aaron I just buy from Buds gun shop on line and have them sent to Buness. If Jeff sent them a FFL you could ship to him. The chief at the cop shop also receives guns from them.
Now left only to be a turd in the forrest and the circle will be complete.Use me as I have used you

Don't expect to find a good deal on new firearms in Anchorage shops. Occasionally Fred Myers will have a special on a few handguns.

For used guns, Boondocks is always worth checking out, and Great Northern Guns usually has a pretty good selection and occasionally a good deal or two.
Those that are successful in Alaska are those who are flexible, and allow the reality of life in Alaska to shape their dreams, vs. trying to force their dreams on the reality of Alaska.

If you have a tenuous grasp of reality, Alaska is not for you.
