    Default Restart problems

    94 yami 150 hp saltwater series 2 v6 runs great then turn her off for a few and won't restart until we prime the bulb. Any ideas ? thanks Don

    From what you state it appears yo me you have an air leak in your gas line and loose your prime.

    The bulb has a one way valve to keep the fuel from going back into the tank..........replace the bulb.

    Thanks. Didn't mention that it could only be 10 second or less that engine is turned off to restarting with problem. Still bulb ?

    The bulb is a good start. Also, do you notice any excess fuel coming out of the exhaust? A little bit of a sheen around the motor? This could point to a fuel pump issue which leaves your motor too rich to restart and causes the air leak in your fuel system which requires the priming. Fuel pumps or at least their diaphragms are a regular maintenance part on a 2 stroke motor.

    Did you remember to open the vent on the fuel tank, and if so, did you check that it is actually clear?
