Any advice as to the best types of fishing during this period of time in seward and ninilchik?
Will halibuts fishing be great? Silvers or red running anywhere?

Butts should be great but you should be right in the middle of the 2nd red run on the kenai russian at the end of july. Check the reports when you get up here. The reds could be stacked from soldotna to the russian or the bulk of the run could be above skilak lake and fishing the upper area (russian, or drifing the refuge). Last year they were late but you should be right on time with the reds and some silvers

    Default Salmon Runs

Suggest you try www.piscatorialpursuits.com/akregs.htm as it shows a run chart for the various salmon species on the Kenai Peninsula.
