    Default Juneau rescue

Anyone have any details about the incident in Juneau in which some boaters were rescued by the crew of the LeConte? Just wondering if there are any details that could help the rest of us operate more safely out there.

6 guys halibut fishing in a 22' aluminum boat. I don't think weather was a factor jugding from photo in article.

Thanks for the link LG. Judging by the photo, weather didn't seem to be a big factor. Any idea what kind of boat was involved?

Well today's letter-to-the-editor in the Empire (from an eye witness to the event) stated conditions were: "widespread white caps from a strong north wind". Sure didn't look like that from the photo.
