Across the inlet unless Lake Hood is shut down. Then we are going to our honey hole...

Not sure with the presidential airspace closure. It might be quiet this year on opening day across the inlet.

Has been very little waterfowl around this area this summer. Very little. About 1/5 of normal. Maybe it is the heat.

We've been told we're good to go for our trip over just not sure about coming back on Wednesday. Gotta to be one of the best excuses around for getting back to work a day late. Could be an added day of hunting......

Hard to tell in the pic, but are those emperor geese? If so, that's weird to see them around here. I've only seen them on Kodiak.

So those are going to be very interesting "security" checks. Planes loaded down with guns, ammo, dogs etc... None in locked cases. What exactly will they be checking for???

From what I heard this morning, hunting ethics were left at home..skybusting was the norm...as well as setting up within 50 yards of another group...pretty sad

Typical DL opener dude. All the trash will blow outta there in a week or two once it gets a little chilly.

I wish the boat was operative I would have headed to louise but the axle still isnt installed and I have to get that on before I start running all the wiring for the new motor and build up the transom. Gonna be a long season looking at pics of you guys killing em.
