    Default caribou hunting

Is it possible to hunt the 40 mile herd or any other caribou hiking in? I don't have a 4 wheeler so I have to go on foot. I hope to find somewhere to go on Aug 30 and 31st.

Are four wheelers allowed to drive on american summit and eagle summit? I am just trying to figure out if me hiking five miles up is a waste of time if people are passing me with four wheelers going 15 miles or more.

Forgive me for the questions as I am new here. How about on 12 mile summit area on the steese highway. Are wheelers allowed there?

Yes wheelers are allowed at 12 mile summit, eagle summit as well.

If you were to stay away from the trailheads and hike directly off the highway you'll increase your odds.

There will be Quads one very trail, Peak & drainage, like usual.

On a side note, SIDE BY SIDESINCLUDING RAZORS are NOT legal accept on the main Mining roads. Even though you see them way out on the tundra every year.

I was Sturnley Warned by the BLM cops last year.

I already had my side by side loaded up when he checked me so there was no evidence of where I was or he would have given me a ticket.

You can see Caribou from the Steese & possibly get one crossing the road , IF the Caribou are there & you are Extreemely Lucky.

Well I'm hoping to get some meat to fill my freezer. So maybe I should try up the Taylor Eagle then.
