Default Kodiak 350 rusted oil pan

Just pulled the motor on my 8 year old Thunderjet to replace the oil pan.
looks like they took a basic 350 short block, cut a hole in the oil pan where the drain plug was and patched with a drain adapter for the drain hose with no protection and that's the only area that rusted out. Waiting to talk to Kem the guys that build the motors about their shoddy workmanship.

Kem Equipment sends the oil pans out to a machine shop for the oil pan conversion, anyone with a Kodiak engine should be aware of this potential failure, the area could be coated with a rust protection paint or rhino liner without having to pull it.
