Yeah, there's another thread that touches on this. Doesn't sound like they are in the port area yet.

I'm convinced that they're waiting for me to show up, so give it a couple more weeks! lol It's a karma thing after last year's disaster.

Lol... Sounds good to me. After last year it can only get better. We'll be there over Labor Day and I hope your karma prediction is right.

few if any silvers at Allison pt as of Thursday..lots of fish about 5-10 miles out.. lots...The fish have been stacking up in the Narrows, not sure why more haven't moved in closer. Far better fishing this year than last years run...Best of luck...

One more week before I go... Not that I'm counting... They can start showing up now.

I'm with this guy! Eight days and counting. The reports of fish actually showing this year have me stoked. I'd rather not fight the Labor Day masses but my work schedule leaves me no other options!

One thing about Valdez is that there usually aren't masses, at least not like other places. That's one of the reasons we keep going back. I think the long drive, time of year, and usual rain help a lot.

Long-range weather forecast is calling for sun every day through next Sunday in Valdez. That'd be awesome....

I caught two yesterday, and landed six today. People all around me were catching them. I'd say the first run is in. Pink #4 Pixie at high tide worked very well today.

My son and I limited out on one tide at Allison Point today. For some reason my wife couldn't get a bite. Good fishing overall. No wind or rain... Can't ask for much more.

Fishing slowed down a lot from shore the last couple of days. Still fair numbers being caught but not like it was three days ago. Only got three yesterday and none this morning before we had to head back home. Fun little vacation though, and a big cooler of fillets! The boats are still getting more fish out a little way, so I'm not sure the bulk of the fish have even hit shore yet.
