    Default alaska mushrooms pictures

    Looking for opinions of what kind of bolete this is. No gills, stems pretty yellow, top yellowish brown.Im aware of when in doubt, throw it out. So no worries. I didn't eat it. Thanks in advance.

    I get those on my place and they are birch bolete, pretty much the same as aspen bolete. Boletes do not have gills that I have ever found.

    Those are NOT Birch boletes. Those are slippery jacks. The scientific name is Suillius. They are edible, but not choice.

    Birch boletes are also edible but not choice.
