    Default Kotzebue early September

Hey guys I just found my transporter out of happy valley can't take me out. Of course no one else up there can get me out either being last minute. I found an option out of Kotzebue to try and savage my trip. I've read last couple years later has been better. Anyone have any thoughts? Thank you

In early sept, it would be a good idea to get pretty far North for the WACH Caribou, in Unit 23. They will just be easing south about then, but dont really pick up speed till its chillin' later in sept.

    Good luck.

They told me it would be at least 150 miles from Kotzebue. How long does that take in a bush plane?

Depends on what kind of bush plane. At least 1.5 hours likely. Hopefully 150 miles will get you out to the Noatak River above the canyon. Could also be bou up towards the Wullik and Kivalina Rs.

Just wanted to update this. We just returned and had a good trip. Nice weather had the bou holding up high but they were trickling through in small groups . We all tagged out and everyone we talked to at the airport had also. We saw some real dandy bulls with few cows.
