    Default tagged silver

Caught a silver in the valley with an ADF&G tag in it. Do you turn them in?

You can call it in. They just need the number and info on where it was caught.

Saw one Saturday. Still swimming though. Never saw one before. Anybody know when they tag them? Just curious.

basically it depends on where you caught it (saw it) .. Most of the salmon headed to the streams along the parks Hwy are tagged at one of two fish wheels on the lower Big Susitna river.. ADF&G also has 2 fish wheels set up on the lower Yentna.. If you look at the Yellow tube on the tag, you'll see a serial number.. Call ADF&G and tell them when and where you caught the tagged fish, and they'll ask you for the number on the tube… It helps them to better understand and manage the fish..

Unfair disadvantage too silvers you can see that orange two inch tag on back and target them in crowds of pinks and chums.
Got to look good even in defeat. IMAGE is everything.

I got one of them tagged silvers at clear creek 5 years ago. Saw the tag and was able to target that fish!

Sure you can call it unfair, but the tags are meant to be visible so that the fish can be caught and reported
