    Default Deshka Silvers :-(

Got there today at 6:20 AM. 10 - 15 boats.
Fished at the mouth just up above the mix zone a few hundred yards.
Threw the whole box at them :
Medium sized Orange Silver Fox, orange vibrax & green, brass, silver & red/white mepps.

Saw several fishing with eggs haveing the same luck we were :::Nothing

Heard 2 fish were caught but we didn't see it.
Fished to 10:am, saw fish rolling but didn't we get a hit or bite .
Saw 1 "white fish" caught on eggs while we were there.

Some of the roller might have been pinks
    but some were silvers.

Amazingly warm water temp of 67.6.

Can't ever remember not catching silvers at the Deshka in early August.
    Maybe the run is late,
the counter showed a big up-tick on numbers on the 30th but fewer the past few days.

Maybe late like other runs ? ? ?

I'd say those water temps and the large glowing orb in the sky have a lot to do with it. Try again on the next cool, rainy morning and I bet the results will be better.

    Hope they're just late.
Maybe this last rain moved some in.

Always there at first hint on light. The sun will lock them up tighter than your first girl friend..no offense ladies..

bump.... anyone have recent reports for the deshka? Wife wants to go this weekend. fish count #s are trickling along, but haven't seen that typical "big push" show up yet. (so that means the big push is holding in the lower river, right?) ... that strategy didn't pan out when I tried it 10 days ago.

    Buddy went last week,
caught 2 coho & one chum & had couple more coho on.
Said was slow & fish were on the smaller size.
Weather cooling down should help , we hope

Went on 8/17 and it was better, got 7 silvers in a few hours... I think the rain and clouds helped.
