Default Elodia. Likely many times worse than we know

Was out on a local lake on the Kenai today. Floated into some protected coves. Pretty sure the weeds choking them were Elodia. Keep hearing of new infestations. I can only imagine that an endless number of lakes all over South Central, and beyond have been infected by stuff brought from Lake Hood, and other infected bodies of water. I fear we are WAY behind the curve on this, with no chance of ever catching up.

Just looked at some pics I took of some we pulled into the boat. Yup, that's the stuff. Cove was choked with it.
