    Default Transmission Work

    Dear Folks,

My son and I have a 1984 (Chevy 350) Winnebago Itasca 21 ft. RV. The transmission has started slipping and I was looking for some advice on who to take it to. Any help would be greatly appreciated as my wife and I are arriving from Mississippi this Thursday.

    Thanks!

If it's at the corner of Diamond and C they been around for a long time. I had them rebuild a transmission for me in 81. Sorry nothing more recent. I would give them a call and see if the bands can be adjusted along with a fluid change. You know how much it is slipping. Is the fluid burnted or off color?

    RIH,

Thanks for the input. That is the location. I will call them in the morning.

The RV had been running fine. My son drove down to Cooper Landing last week no problems. Got in it to go back this evening and it was slipping. Full of fluid and he said it looked good. It would be nice if servicing it all it needs.

    Thanks for your input.

Just wanted to follow up on transmission problem. It required a rebuild. Quality Transmission did the job for $2600.00 which included a two year warranty. They got it in and out quickly. Appear to have done a first class job as we drove the RV extensively after repair. Did find a shop that was willing to do the job for less but they could not get the RV up on their rack because of height.

    Thanks for the help.
