    Default Summit Lake

A photo of Summit Lake on a day that was sunny for a moment and cloudy the next.

On the Richardson Highway, not too far from the Paxon Lodge. The lodge is down the road behind my back as i took the photo. The same area where the Arctic Man takes place each winter. If you look at the background in the photo, down to the right corner is where people park their automobiles during the snowmobile race.

    Wow, Really Nice Shot!

I really like how it is taken from a low angle.

    Thanks.

I used a wide angle lens set at 12mm, and squatted by the water to take the photo. The wide angle lens helps maintain focus on the foreground (rocks) and background.

It's a beautiful area, but can mostly be appreciated when it's not raining.
