I do not know but would not trade my lightweight commander in 38 supper for a glock or berretta. Just my nickles wort
Colt never kept up with the consumer market with stronger and better guns for hunting, etc. They relied on gov contracts and is what did them in long ago. Even when the .44 mag came out they hung back and when they made one it was not worth the money. Guns cost more then anyone wanted to pay. Who would buy a Colt when a $96 Ruger was better. They made some good guns but none stood the test of time. Ruger ONLY loads meant a lot, never to be used in a Colt.
Colt long ago held patients that ruined many gun makers with better guns. They got patient extensions. But once time did them in, they lost.
Poor management and guns that should have been made better. Ruger thought about the public and did not care about the gov. Colt wanted big contracts and never thought about the common man.
Well, now I hope all American, foreign gun owners are happy.
