Miss Alaska hunting. But I'm hooked on duck hunting now. 90+ here in KC and grassing in a boat!

    Thanks

I drove down Maude on Saturday to look at Mud Lake and the rock is about 3 feet out of the water. The water is lower than it was two years ago when Friday Creek diverted the last time.

Time to put wheels on the boat.

Just returned from a pre-season scouting, camping, moose bow hunt at DL. Water is VERY low. Even the creek was very shallow down in the tidal zone. Better pack light this year as we did a lot of pushing and dragging. I don't know if some of the bigger rigs or outboards will be able to run DL this year. Hope today's rain helps but I think the only hope is for the big tides on the opener to fill the marsh back up. If anyone knows Chuck, let him know that some d bag broke into the porch of his cabin. They pryed open his shutter and broke out the window. Not sure if they made it into the cabin itself. Good luck to everyone this season.

Carv Yeah thanks for the info already heard about it from other outstanding duck hunters. His daughter went down tonight and closed it back up . Sounds like everything was there. Most likely some nosy people snooping where they shouldn't. I know a lot of people don't get along with chuck and some probably hate him, but that's no reason to do this kind of crap. I will make sure he knows some people has his back whether he likes it or not

Thanks AKCary/...that's what its all about..keeping an eye out for each other and helping when you can. Good stuff. Heard from another source the water is low and some got stuck in the slough.

Cant wait to smelt that marsh and hear the whistling wings...
