Default A trip for my grandson, MARINE home on leave

Grandson is home on leave for the 1st time in 18 plus months. I would like to get him out on the salt water for some fishing, but don't really want to put him on a charter full of pukers and tourists. If anyone is going out in south central for a day, I would be glad to help with fuel to get him out there. I am planning a salmon trip across the Inlet with some flight seeing included for him. He goes back to base in just over a week. Still some time for him to enjoy more of the Alaska he has been missing.

He heads back to New River, NC on the afternoon of the 10th. He is training for a QRF, and to be a guard at a foreign embassy.

Homer, Seward, or Ninilchik. I want to get him across the Inlet with AWA this week for salmon. I might go with him on that trip and create some memories he can take overseas with him. He is a life long Alaskan. A very good young man.

I was out on a charter with my brothers and friends years ago. We bought the whole boat. Was rough out, but we ain't going back cause someone gets queasy. Well, I'm getting that way, and decide to join my older brother and his friend at the rail for my turn at chumming. Just as I'm getting there, the friend says to my brother, "Weak stomach, Charlie?" Brother replies after heaving, "Weak stomach my ass, I'm getting it out there further than you." I laughed so much I forgot to heave, and did not get sick on that trip.

I am taking him across the Inlet with AWA tomorrow. He has until the 10th to squeeze in more adventures.
