    Default charlie river

My brother and nephew want to float the Charlie. The NPS has let the strip at Gelvins washout won't fix it claiming budget though they have plenty of man power and a helicopter. They basically want any access to go away. I know three fingers strip is further up and maybe too low water there most years. Does anyone have any info they will share on the three fingers strip? Length, condition? Thanks.

I haven't been in there this year. The water level is dropping but some rain has shown up...you might be able to find it in the smoke. What type of plane are you flying in there?

Call and ask 40mile air if they have been in there. Water may be too low for 3fingers float. Joseph on the middle fork of the 40mi., is another option. Better strip for your plane and river is right there, no dragging your gear downriver, which may be the case at 3fingers....
